Help build the OASIS

Help build the OASIS here.

The Outdoor Activity Space Initiative for Starkey (OASIS) is an accessible, smoke-free outdoor area for individuals with intellectual disabilities.  It will feature a walking path, exercise/activity stations, benches and picnic tables and a large shade structure.  More information about this innovative project is included in this brochure.

A lasting legacy created by Starkey's stewards

If you or your family members have benefited from the care, the support and the programs offered by Starkey, you might have considered what you can do to give back.

Or you may be an individual who understands the many needs of people with developmental disabilities, and you wish to leave behind a concrete recognition of the excellent services provided by Starkey.

Or you may have worked at Starkey, and have seen first-hand the needs and challenges of providing quality care and support for the persons served.

Sometimes, concerns about personal or family financial security and situations may limit what you may be able to give during your lifetime.

Yet, through careful and thoughtful estate planning, you can protect the future financial welfare of your family members while fulfilling your personal charitable wishes.

Here are just a few options to consider:

  • The Starkey Foundation provides, free of charge, an attorney who will work with you to establish the best way for you to give to Starkey through your will. Call 316.942.4221 (Marlene Hecht) to set up an appointment.
  • Instruct your lawyer to prepare a simple, inexpensive codicil to your existing will, creating a bequest for Starkey
  • Amend an existing insurance policy to add Starkey as a beneficiary
  • Amend your retirement plan or 401k to add Starkey as a beneficiary

Such thoughtful consideration and support of Starkey’s future ability to care for the next generation of individuals with developmental disabilities will be most gratefully received.

Starkey, Inc. is a 501 C (3) non-profit organization.
